Brook IC is typically retained to provide business intelligence for pitching and targeting, key client programmes, valuations, sectors and competitor analysis.

Company profiles for clients/targets. Commerciality is high on clients’ agendas – put simply that means demonstrating an understanding of their sector and strategic drivers. Brook IC can help by highlighting a company’s strategic intent and any adverse developments (strategy, restructuring, downsizing, M&A, etc.).

Sector Reports. Brook IC are regularly asked to research sectors to aid valuation work or help clients narrow their focus on target sectors. This includes: market size & forecasts, drivers, challenges, competitors and major targets.

Competitor Research. For example, to assist a client looking to enter particular countries in Asia, Brook IC undertook significant competitor analysis: offices & local affiliations, headcount & leveraging, services offered, leading individuals and clients. They further profiled opportunities and challenges for a number of the countries of interest.

Bespoke. Bespoke assignments are typically driven by a client’s targeting initiatives. For example, Brook IC have been asked to identify and profile Chinese banks authorised to operate in the UK and identify foreign real estate funds investing in the UK.
