Since 2001, Stephen has worked with professional firms, banks, asset managers and others in financial services on strategy implementation and business development issues. He has written four books on the latter topic.
Stephen began his career as an Army officer and was selected for a scholarship to undertake an in-service degree at Oxford University (where he read English Language and Literature at Magdalen College).
On leaving the Army, he became Sales Director for the mutual funds business of Mercury Asset Management (MAM) – now part of BlackRock. He moved within MAM to become Operations Director with a brief to reorganise the firm’s Institutional business. He subsequently took on a similar role at Schroder Investment Management.
Stephen holds a Masters degree from Oxford University. He is qualified as a business coach and became a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Coaching Professional Association, based at Harvard, in 2010 and a member of the Association for Coaching in 2013. He is certified in the use of the DISC psychometric instrument.
