Webinar: What do lawyers and law students really think about client-facing work?

The Client Skills Advantage – Transforming Legal Careers and Client Satisfaction

Thursday 6th November 2025
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm GMT

Join us as we present results from our ‘Client First’ research, driven by a diagnostic survey examining over 25 daily client-facing behaviours of lawyers – from how often they speak with clients to their involvement in pitches and networking. The findings reveal significant challenges for firms: lawyers with limited client exposure report dramatically lower career satisfaction (53% vs 92% for those with regular client contact), whilst lacking confidence in communication abilities may be driving stagnating client satisfaction. With associate attrition nearly doubling and firms facing replacement costs reaching hundreds of thousands of pounds per lawyer, developing client skills emerges as critical to both retention and protecting client relationships.

Nov 6th, 6pm – 8pm
Venue: Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London, Moot Court room, Somerset House East Wing, The Strand, London WC2R 2LS
