Ben Kent will join a 40-minute roundtable, hosted by Abby Winkworth (Ambire Advisory) exploring what the Client First research reveals about the future sustainability of law firms—and, critically, the human experience of the next generation of lawyers.
The research highlights a growing disconnect at the heart of the profession. While firms continue to prioritise technical excellence, many lawyers—particularly at junior and mid-level—are experiencing declining satisfaction, rising pressure, and a lack of clear purpose. This is not simply a talent pipeline issue; it is increasingly a mental health and engagement challenge. Lawyers with limited client exposure report significantly lower day-to-day satisfaction (53%) compared to those with regular interaction (92%), suggesting that isolation from clients is directly linked to reduced motivation, confidence, and fulfilment.
